Call You... Kimi to Boku no Mirai

Call You... Kimi to Boku no Mirai (Call You... The Future of Yours and Mine) is the opening theme song for the first half of Galaxy Force, episodes 1 to 27.

To grace this occasion, we have Sonic Convoy to greet us. The Hasbro version. Hello, Sonic Convoy!

Sonic Convoy

Yes, my photography skills are atrocious.

I present to you the lyrics (plus translations) for the TV sized version of the song. TV size means the 1 minute version you here on the show's opening.

The original words are bolded and italicised.

Kaze no Uta Hibiku Haruka naru Daichi
The song of the wind resounds across the land

Kikoeru daro Yume Kizamu rhythm
You can hear it right? It's the rhythm of the dream

Donna Teki Kite mo Bokutachi no power
No matter what enemy comes, with our power

Ignition Hi o Tsuketa Yuuki
Ignition! The flame of courage is lit

Kono hoshi o Mamoru Nani ga Okotte mo
I will protect this planet no matter what happens

Boku mo Kimi mo Ikiteiru Akashi! Dakara!
Because! It proves we're alive!

Kakenuketeku Yuushi wa
These journeying valiant warriors

Kizuna de Musubareta Seigi sa
Are connected by a bond of justice

Issho ni Ikou ze
Let's go together

We just call you Transformer
We just call you Transformers

Transformer
Transformers

Ride on!
Ride on!

So repeated listening of this made me feel so emo. It made the Transformers sound so tragic, so noble, so sad... travelling so far from the comforts of their home, in order to save the universe. The sacrifices they must have made, the pain they must have felt seeing their home planet eaten by the Grand Black Hole, and the sheer determination to make it past another day.

All so that we, the denizens of the universe, could survive and live another day.

Super Sonic Convoy (the metallic, clear version) will lead you into the next section of the blog post.

Super Sonic Convoy

I love him. EX-02 Sonic Convoy. The only thing cooler would be a golden Primus.

I mean Primus kind of golden Primus, not a Rodimus kind of golden Primus.

So here are the lyrics to the full version of Call You. No English translation exists (that I can find), so... all you can see are sounds. Haha.

Kaze no Uta Hibiku Haruka Naru Daichi

Now, you think I only have two Sonic Convoys right? At most I could have a third Takara version, but it'd still look the same.

But no. I have another. Dark Sonic Convoy, I call him.

Dark Sonic Convoy

He looks like a twisted, evil, alternate universe version of Sonic Convoy, doesn't he? That's because he is. In a way. I don't know what's my in-universe story for him, but I'm thinking of borrowing a few ideas from the Dead Universe saga.

He's comprised of two Hasbro products.

Cybertron: Galaxy Force Optimus Prime
Movie (2007): Wingblade

As unlikely as it was to find someone who was mad enough to buy two recolours when he already has two versions of each... someone, it happened. Me.

But I collect Galaxy Force recolours, remember?

And so top it all off...

Sonic Convoy(s)

Just to fulfill the fundamental urge to show off, that all collectors have.

No point buying if nobody sees right?
